Gratitude…it’s not just for Thanksgiving anymore! If you are watching this video, it may be because the holidays are upon us, but my hope is that you are not only watching it at Thanksgiving, but all year long. As I came out of my “divorce fog” several years ago, I slowly realized it was because my “gratitude journal” was having a true and amazing impact on my life, and was making me happier. When I was struggling, looking for things to be grateful for, I found that just about anything would do…and as I wrote those silly things down, I found that the more I did it, the easier it became! Why, because my brain was asking for it! You see, there is a LOT of research on the positive effects of gratitude on your brain and on your behavior!
You’ll discover how the brain actually produces more dopamine and seratonin when you are expressing “true” gratitude (so you can just be saying the words, you need to be feeling the feel).
